Today’s world is the world of the supersensitive news, so people are used to it and pay less attention to the normalcy. What I’m now writing is of no use to them so far. But I have a firm confidence in me that some people are morally obliged to read it. Now, I am going to introduce such ones who have their own histories and cultures deep down to the earth unknown to the very people concerned not because of the external forces but because of the internal forces like proper education.
I’am writing on Mog, Marma, Rakhine language and its present situation in India and Bangladesh. I’m not the person of this kind but as a teacher I’ve moral obligation to disclose it.
We all know, every language has four basic skills i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening. The concerned people have only two skills that are utterly colloquial. Eventually, it has no proper linguistic documents and newspapers on the very language.
In such a circumstance, having taught some basic knowledge of this language, I’m delving to go deep to it personally. And what I stuck much is of the lack of dictionary and grammar of this language which is eligible to the concerned people.
Being observed and micro-researched the present situation, I make a conclusion that if it is possible to compile a Mog, Marma, Rakhine to Bengali Dictionary, then It would be possible to literarily save this form of linguistic people primarily.
Having posted for the first time to one of the government secondary schools of the rural sub-district at Bandarban hill district in Bangladesh dated September 2017, I have the opportunity to meet these people from face to face. It was after some months of my job posting, I have been trying to compile the mentioned dictionary. And finally, I've prepared a manuscript on it dated June 2020. This manuscript is now supervised by the renowned experts of the concerned language who are also the writers of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Bangladesh (NCTB) which is the government body of writing and publishing government texts for school and college levels. In addition, from December 2016, Bangladesh government has been publishing texts for the Marma students of the primary level. Till now (2020), NCTB has published Marma texts upto Class Three standard.
The next challenging step is to publish the dictionary. Hence, I kindly urge the educated and learned personalities to extend their lavish hand in publishing the dictionary. If it would have published by the combined efforts, it would be distributed free of cost. Thank you.

প্রসঙ্গঃ মগ,মারমা, রাখাইন - বাংলা অভিধান
আজকালকার মানুষ সুপারসেনসিটিভ বিষয় ছাড়া অন্য বিষয়ে আগ্রহ হারিয়ে ফেলেছে। আমি যে পোস্ট লিখছি তা এ ক্যাটাগরিতে পড়ে না। তবু আমি জানি, কেউ কেউ লেখাটি পড়বেন। আমি এমন একটি বিষয়ে আজ অবতারণা করছি তা নিতান্ত সাধারণ মানুষের- চক্ষু থাকতেও অন্ধত্বের ইতিহাস, কর্ণ থাকতেও বধিরের ইতিহাস, মুখ থাকতেও বোবার ইতিহাস এবং লেখার হাত থাকতেও হস্তহীনতার ইতিহাস।
হ্যাঁ, ঠিকই ধরেছেন! ভারত এবং বাংলাদেশের মগ, মারমা, রাখাইন ভাষা নিয়েই লিখছি। আমি নিজে এ ভাষার লোক নই কিন্তু আমি একজন শিক্ষক।
আমরা জানি, যে কোন ভাষা শিক্ষার চারটি দক্ষতা থাকতে হয়। ক) পড়া খ) লেখা গ) বলা ঘ) শোনা। আমি যাদের উল্লেখ করেছি তাদের অধিকাংশই নিজ মাতৃভাষার চতুর্গুণের দুইটি পারে, বাকিগুলো পারে না। আর যে দুইটি দক্ষতা পারে, তা মুখে মুখেই। ফলে, নেই আদর্শ মানের সাহিত্য, পত্র-পত্রিকা, গণমাধ্যম।
এমতাবস্থায় ব্যক্তিগতভাবে অক্ষর জ্ঞানসহ মৌলিক উচ্চারণ বিধি শিক্ষা করে, আমি বিষয়টির গভীরে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা চালিয়ে যেতে থাকি। আমি অভিধান এবং ব্যাকরণের প্রচণ্ড অভাববোধ করি।
আমি অণুগবেষণা এবং অবলোকন করে এ সিদ্ধান্তে উপনীত হলাম যে, যদি একটি মগ, মারমা, রাখাইন থেকে বাংলা অভিধান রচনা করা সম্ভবপর হয়, তাহলে ভাষাগত অবলুপ্তির হাত থেকে এ জনগোষ্ঠীকে প্রাথমিকভাবে বাঁচানো সম্ভব।
২০১৮ এর গোড়ায় দিকে আমি কাজ শুরু করি, এবং অনেক চড়াই-উৎরাই পেরিয়ে ২০২০ সালের জুনে আমি অভিধানের একটি পাণ্ডুলিপি প্রস্তুত করি। বর্তমানে পাণ্ডুলিপিখানা মগ, মারমা, রাখাইন ভাষা বিশেষজ্ঞ এবং বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় শিক্ষাক্রম ও পাঠ্যপুস্তক বোর্ড (NCTB) কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত মারমা বইয়ের লেখকবৃন্দের তত্ত্বাবধানে মূল্যায়নরত।
এই ঐতিহাসিক কাজের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত হওয়ার জন্য আমি বিদুৎসাহী মানুষসহ সহৃদয়বান সকলের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করছি। সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় অভিধানটি প্রকাশিত হলে বিনামূল্যে বিতরণ করা হবে। ধন্যবাদ।
